Sponsorships don't disappear into overhead — they land in the lives of specific children. You'll learn your student's name, see their drawings, and hear their voice on a recording of the Swan Princess Band.
Every ringgit, baht, and dollar is tracked and reported. We publish a transparency report every year — you'll get a copy.
Questions people ask.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Waves of Words is registered in Thailand. U.S. donors can give via our fiscal sponsor for tax-deductible receipts — email us and we'll set it up.
Can I meet my sponsored student?
Yes. We encourage visits and will introduce you when you arrive. Many of our sponsors have become long-term friends of the village.
How do I cancel or change my sponsorship?
Anytime, no questions asked. Email us and we'll update or stop your contribution immediately.
Where does the money actually go?
Approximately 92% to direct program costs (supplies, teachers, space, music program), 8% to administration & payment processing. We publish detailed breakdowns in our annual transparency report.
